About

Childsey, a Pragmatic & Commercial Digital and Media Agency

Who We Are

Based in Nantwich, Cheshire but serving the UK, our experience is pragmatic, results-driven, creative and supportive with expertise in web design, website development, e-commerce, media production and digital marketing.

We love variety and our account portfolio ranges from large online retailers to small owner-operated businesses, and everything in-between!

Climate Positive Agency

As a small digital agency with low, if not zero manufacturing, distribution and delivery footprints, our main focus is on our digital carbon footprint.

Connecting to the internet, sending an email, making a search in Google or simply saving and storing data on a server generates CO2 emissions.

How can we help to decarbonise our planet as well as support businesses like yours with their digital marketing, web design and media requirements?

The answer is Ecologi.  We plant trees for the future & offset our current climate impact by investing in infrastructure projects around the world. We do this to cover our clients website traffic, digital marketing activity and our own employee's environmental impact. You can find out how long we have been a climate positive and how many trees we have planted so far here.

1% to Charity

1% of our revenue is donated to good causes picked by our team.

Simon (our MD) says "When I started Childsey, I was keen to build a brand that supported our local community, good causes & the environment. For the last couple of years, I have been thinking about the best way to achieve this.

We have been offsetting and reducing our environmental impact since launch, but we all wanted to do more for people in need both locally & further afield.

By linking our donations to our business performance we are ensuring that as we grow we can increase our positive impact at the same rate.”

From June 2022 , 1% of revenue will be donated to good causes picked by the team. Every member of the team has chosen a charity to support, we will independently verify our revenue on a quarterly basis & donate evenly across our team's chosen charities.”

Our chosen charities are; Global Witness, The Lullaby Trust, Alzheimer's Society, British Heart Foundation.

questions

Here’s answers to our most common questions

Why does Digital Marketing matter to my business?

It opens the door to business growth, providing opportunities, leads and increased sales. Here at Childsey we treat digital marketing as a science, looking for patterns in the market and trends in data, allowing us to understand customer behaviours.

What size businesses do you build websites for?

We enjoy working with large scale businesses as well as startups and everything in between. We deliver the same high level skills and support if we are supporting some of our big household names as we do supporting our local businesses in Cheshire.

What is the benefit of using a small boutique agency rather than a larger firm?

We bring tons of knowledge and experience from brands both small and large which we can share directly with you, no dealing with third parties or junior team members. We keep you close to the process and ensure all of our clients are happy. This is often one of the biggest advantages of a smaller digital agency.

How can we increase traffic to our website?

Via organic and paid digital marketing techniques! We have an SEO specialist who will optimise your website looking at: structure, content, meta data and keywords. We will then identify strategies and implement techniques to gradually increase visitors to your website such as building backlinks and fresh, unique content. PPC or pay per click is a digital marketing strategy that involves paying a fee each time someone clicks on one of your ads. PPC is great if you are implementing your SEO strategy and waiting for it to gradually take effect, helping you to gain brand awareness and increase traffic faster. Find out more about our Digital Marketing Services.

How does the SEO process work?

We get to know you via a face to face or virtual meeting, we want to understand your industry, business and goals. We map out what success looks like and craft a bespoke SEO strategy to drive organic traffic. While you will see some results within weeks, it's more often the case that a strong SEO strategy will reflect back in positive data over the next 3 - 6 months.

Why are you called Childsey?

Great question! The digital marketing world is saturated with trendy, obscure agency names so we wanted to keep it simple and rooted in our origins. A fun play on Simon Childs (our founder's) name!
